FpML 5-0 should fix this.

I doubt the FpML 5.0 will fix this. We will still have substitution groups and xsd:any for the definition of complex index equations.
The problem lies in Microsoft’s XSD code generator and its selective support for the features of XML schema and not in FpML which is fully schema compliant.

Tools issue. FpML 5 still uses substitution groups and xsd:any.
