Summary
The feeTrade element was added to the FpML schema to support regulatory reporting of novations. It plays no part in the confirm view of novation and should be excluded from schema during its generation.
Versions of FpML back to 5.5 should be checked and corrected.

Yes, feeTrade only applies in a reporting context but there are market participants who are using confirmation view. So it will be inconvenient the removal of feeTrade in confirmation view. We agreed to add a comment in the annotation to indicate that this is applicable in reporting.

Updated the annotation of feeTrade:
Indicates the implied trade (the “fee trade”) that the associated novation fee based on. This is equivalent to the new trade that is created by the novation (between the transferee and the remaining party), but is between the transferor and the transferee. Fee Trade supports regulatory reporting of novations.
