Summary
I think the documentation for net and gross is backwards. Surely net excludes, and gross includes fees & commissions.

Same with codelist/asset-measure-5-5.xml
and in one of the examples in the documentation (fpml-5-7-intro.html).
Or is it meant to be the reverse of the normal sense of the words for some circumstances ?

Nevermind.
A friend said it was market practice to call the price of the equity listed on the market the gross price, and the net price the price after the application of charges.
So, Gross/Net in the sense of before and after, rather than the sense of total(inclusive)/in part(exclusive).
