Summary

This e-mail outlines the changes introduced between:

FpML Architecture Version 1.0 Trial Recommendation 25 September 2000 ( http://www.fpml.org/spec/2000/tr-fpml-arch-1-0-2000-09-25)

and

FpML Architecture Version 1.0 Trial Recommendation 21 December 2000 (( http://www.fpml.org/spec/2000/tr-fpml-arch-1-0-2000-12-21)

The FpML Architecture Version 1.0 Trial Recommendation is a DTD based standard. However, sections of the document were impacted when XML Schemas moved from a Working Draft to a Candidate Recommendation.

1. All references to the XML Schema Working Draft, either by name, URI or URL, now refer to the 24 October 2000 XML Schema Candidate Recommendation.

2. Section 4.4, example of equivalent XML Schema: namespace URI updated to reflect Candidate Recommendation.

3. Section 4.8, example of equivalent XML Schema: namespace URI updated; example reworked to use substitutionGroup's and extension syntax -- replacing the XML Schema Trial Recommendation syntax.

4. Section 4.9, example of equivalent XML Schema: similar reworking of example.

In addition, all three examples have been validated against the XML Schema Validator listed in the tools section of the W3C Schema page ( http://www.w3.org/XML/Schema).
