Summary

The current schema permits but does not require the use of negative durations. The current architecture does not permit the use of negative payments/cashflows, but instead requires them to be directed. I propose the same principle be extended to durations.

As an example look at the shared type Interval.

    Discussed at the AWG. AJ will propose text for the Architecture document that clarifies that people should use negative durations instead of directed durations, and how to represent them.

    It was agreed by the AWG on 28-08-08 that the current model fits the business usage. There is no need to change the model.
