- Type substitution is not fully supported. The InfoPath documentation describes that after SP1 all members are displayed as choices of the extension type in DataSource view. But this is not the working behavior (see attached document describing InfoPath issue). In Word 2003, when I select the FpML root element (of abstract type Document), the program doesn't allow me to choose any content of the derived types of Document (DataDocument, RequestTradeConfirmation,...).

- xsd:any with minOcurrs > 0 (or required) is not supported by Infopath. Before SP1 creating an instance would fail. After SP1 the user is prompted to choose a schema in place of xsd:any but xsd:any is still not supported.

    There was no use of xsd:any in 4.x or 5.x versions.

    In 5.0 the use of type substitution has been removed.

    People that extend FpML may still make use of it.
