Group Charter

Scope: The functional scope of the working group will be as follows:

  • Ensure technical interoperability of the FpML and FIXML Schemas
  • Perform a gap analysis of FIX business processes that are applicable to OTC derivatives.

Skills: The group seeks individuals having skills in at least some of the following areas:

  • Understanding of FIX and FIXML architecture
  • Understanding of FpML architecture and products

The group will be comprised of existing members of FIX and FpML working groups. Recommendations coming out of this working group will be reported to the FIX and FpML governing committees by the respective members of each organization. Meeting Schedule: The group will meet weekly via teleconference on Wednesdays at 8:00 AM eastern time Rules of Operation: The working group will adopt the FpML Rules of Operation (Working Groups section). These outline best-practices for meetings, managing member participation, reaching group consensus and voting. Estimated time commitment from Participants: The time commitment is expected c. 4-8 hours per week
