ISDA has published FpML 5.10 Trial Recommendation
The International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. (ISDA) has published the Trial Recommendation for Financial products Markup Language (FpML) version 5.10.
Version 5.10 includes expanded support for MiFID II reporting under ESMA; additional product coverage in Interest Rate Derivatives; comprehensive coverage of syndicated loan processes and notifications, and various improvements to the schema and examples in order to improve data quality and the process of regulatory reporting.
Changes in the Trial Recommendation compared to the Last Call Working Draft published on December 8th include:
* Regulatory Reporting:
- ESMA MiFID II Support - Added additional payment to Generic Product to be able to report upfront fees using the genericProduct (See record-ex52.)
- Documentation - Updated annotations for the Generic Product option attributes (annotations for several of the elements contained in GenericOptionAttributes were misleading).
* Syndicated Loan:
- Refactoring has been done to a handful of types. In addition coding scheme values have been developed and published.
The Trial Recommendation is available on the FpML website in the Specifications section at: http://www.fpml.org/spec/fpml-5-10-4-tr-1
